Never leave a burning candle unattended. Always keep candles (lit or unlit) away from children and pets.
1st BURN
Ensure the entire surface of wax has melted prior to extinguishing your candle on its first burn. This prevents the candle from 'tunneling' which is when a rim of solid wax forms around the flame which doesn't melt on further burns, reducing the lifespan of your candle.
WICK TRIMMING
In exchange for its gorgeous scent throw and hygge experience your candle will need a little TLC in the form of a wick trim. Always trim your wick to 0.25in / 0.6cm prior to lighting.
SAFE PLACEMENT
Always place your candle on a flat, steady and heat proof surface. Do not place your candle on a surface which emits its own heat, or in a windy spot.
CLEAN SURFACE - SAFE BURN
Keep your candle clean, by removing any debris that may have settled on the candle surface during burns. This will prevent it from catching the flame and overheating the candle jar.
WHEN TO SAY GOODBYE!
Unfortunately, all good things come to an end. We recommend retiring your candle once its down to approx. 0.5in / 1.3cm of wax. This is for safety purposes to ensure it does not overheat the glass.
BURN TIMES
Let your candle burn for about 3-4 hours each time it is lit. This will ensure you get the most out of your gorgeous candle!
